Distefan 3D Print was founded by a lifelong naval history enthusiast who has been fascinated by ships since childhood. Growing up, he hand-crafted model ships from scratch and competed in scale model boat competitions — developing an eye for detail, historical accuracy, and craftsmanship that still defines every product we make today.

That passion deepened during his years of military service, where his appreciation for naval engineering, warship design, and the history behind these vessels grew into something more than a hobby.

After the military, he began designing precision 3D printed ship parts and selling them through Shapeways, where his designs quickly found an audience among serious modelers worldwide. When Shapeways shut down in 2023, that community lost its go-to source for high-quality naval parts — and he refused to let that passion die with it. He launched Distefan 3D Print as his own independent store, giving modelers a dedicated home with even greater quality, a wider scale range, and full control over every aspect of production.
