Frequently Asked Questions

Are your products ready to install?

No. Most products are unfinished scale model parts. They may require support removal, cleaning, sanding, test fitting, priming, painting, and assembly.

Are your products painted?

No, unless the product listing specifically says otherwise.

Why are there sprues or supports attached?

Support sprues are part of the 3D printing process. They protect and support the part during printing and shipping. Customers should remove them carefully using proper modeling tools.

Are support marks defects?

No. Minor support attachment marks are normal for 3D printed model parts and are not considered defects.

Are layer lines defects?

Minor layer lines are a normal characteristic of 3D printing and are not considered defects.

My part is slightly bent. Is it defective?

Slight bending or warping can happen with thin resin parts and can often be corrected with warm water. Slight warping correctable with warm water is not considered a defect.

If the part is severely warped and unusable, contact us with clear photos.

What tools should I use?

We recommend flush-cutting sprue cutters, a sharp hobby knife, fine sanding sticks, tweezers, and magnification for small parts.

Can I return parts if I do not like them?

No. We do not accept change-of-mind returns for made-to-order 3D printed products, except where required by applicable law.

What if I received a defective part?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery at sales@distefano3dprint.com.

Please include your order number, clear photos, and a description of the issue.

What if the wrong item was sent?

Contact us with your order number and clear photos of what you received. If we confirm the wrong item was sent, we will resolve the issue.

What if my package is lost?

We will work with the carrier. Replacement or refund is issued only after the carrier confirms the package is lost or completes its investigation.

Who pays customs duties or import taxes?

The customer is responsible for customs duties, VAT, import taxes, and local fees unless those charges were already included or handled through the shipping method.

Can I cancel my order?

You may request cancellation within 24 hours after placing the order, provided production has not started. Once production begins, the order cannot be canceled.

Do you guarantee compatibility with every model kit?

No. Unless a product listing specifically states compatibility with a certain kit, minor fitting, sanding, trimming, or adjustment may be required.

Can I copy, scan, recast, or reproduce your parts?

No. Purchasing a physical product does not give permission to copy, scan, recast, reproduce, or resell our designs.

11. Defect Claim Instructions

If you believe an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please email sales@distefano3dprint.com within 30 days of delivery.

Include:

  • Order number
  • Clear close-up photos
  • Photos from multiple angles
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of packaging if shipping damage is claimed

Please inspect all parts before painting, gluing, sanding, cutting, assembling, or modifying them. We cannot evaluate a claim properly without clear photos.
