I bought the 40mm Bofors gun, along with two other WWII era deck guns to improve a 1/144 scale model submarine project. I am amazed at the wealth of detail on these 3D printed guns, even at a scale as small as 1/144! They look great and respond well to ca cement.
The only thing not to love has to do with the resin, not the design or workmanship. 3D printing resin is evolving, so this may resolve itself in time. The resin is a bit brittle, so cutting off the back guard rails caused the back rest of one of the seats to break off. I also am researching paint primer to put on these guns, since the resin doesn't bond well with acrylic airbrush primer. I might just get a rattle can of spray primer from the hardware store. That stuff bonds to almost anything.
